Bought this for my niece's 4th birthday and she recognized the caterpillar right away from the book. The colors are really vivid, and the 36 pieces are just challenging enough to keep her busy without frustrating her.
The pieces are thick enough that my 3-year-old can grab them without bending the corners, which is huge since our last puzzle fell apart after a week. We do it on the rug before bed and she points out the caterpillar's snacks every single time.
The colors on these pieces are so vivid they almost look like they lifted straight off the book pages. My daughter is 4 and needs a little help with the edges, but the 36 pieces are big enough that she can handle most of it herself.
